The root of all evil

The Root of all evil

I’m going to look at this from a biblical standpoint at first. The first Bible Verse i’m going to bring up is 1timothy 6:10

1 Timothy 6:10

Bible Version NIV (New International Version)

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

I’ve been watching many different video documentaries lately and many multinational companies come up in this category. Coca-Cola, Nestle, Monsanto, Apple, Microsoft, Bayer, ExxonMobil, PepsiCo, Caterpillar, Tyson, Perdue, Con Agra, and many others.
Another Bible Verse comes to mind when I think of these Super Giant Multinational Corporations.

Bible Version NLT (New Living Translation)

For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred.
Lets look at this a little deeper. It says that the people will be lovers of money and themselves in the first part of the verse. These huge corporations are run by people, not machines. People have the choice to either do good or do evil. The love of money is pure greed.
Like I said, these companies are run by people and these people are motivated by nothing but greed. They will stop at nothing to get their money and even go as far as to commit murder. The Following information was gathered from the documentary “The Coca-Cola Case”. The Coca-Cola Company alone has gone as far as to assassinate unionists in Bogota Columbia and the number from 2002 to 2008 is 470. This number is according to the Labor Rights Lawyer Dan Kovalik. The Coca-Cola Company has used paramilitary to carry out the assassinations. Just food for thought, Bogota Columbia is the Trade Union Assassination country of the world.
Another one in the list above is Monsanto. They’ve been doing things for years to try to make corner the market in making money with food. Here is a website that I found that confirms a few of the things they are guilty of (Monsanto, Already ‘Most Evil Company of 2011′, Buys Bee Research Company to Hide Ills) But they are also guilty of so much more. This company has been buying up other smaller companies that sell seeds and other types of products that deal directly with food production. Monsanto is the company that developed Agent Orange for the use of chemical warfare in the Vietnam War. Another thing that you probably didn’t know is that MOST of the chemicals used in the Vietnam War were modified by just a few molecules in order to be used on food crops. Crops like corn, soy bean, canola,  and wheat are just four of the many foods that are being and have been genetically engineered/modified to be able to withstand the application of RoundUp Weed Killer and other weed killers that are now being used. These crops are also being modified to be able to withstand/kill certain bugs that are being considered pests to the crops.
The Crops are literally having its DNA changed by adding the chemical make up to the DNA and enabling the poisonous chemical to be used and the plant not being killed. 90 percent of all of the crops used in the USA are now considered GMO(Genetically Modified Organisms) crops. One of the really scary things about GMO products is that cross breeding with the original crop is impossible to stop and will forever change the chemical make up of the plants that are used. This means that the seeds of the plants will produce nothing but what has been produced by the companies that have changed them.
Think about these accusations and the evidence that has been provided. It is all motivated by greed and the love of money.
This is Charles B. Garrett and Thanks for reading. Please comment and ask questions if you have any that come up.
